2023 50/50

  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

    BC Gaming Event Licence #140302

    1 for $10.00; 10000 tickets
    3 for $20.00; 37500 tickets
    10 for $50.00; 50000 tickets
    30 for $100.00; 120000 tickets

    The 50/50 is a draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.

    Maximum 50/50 payout will be $500,000.00.

  3. 3. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Final ticket sales deadline: April 28, 2023 at 11:59:59 p.m. PDT

    Draw
    50/50 draw: May 1, 2023 at 1:00:00 p.m. PDT

    If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased.

    Draw will be held at BCWF office101-9706 188th St. Surrey, BC V4N 3M2

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All members of the public are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://bcwflottery.com/winners on May 1, 2023.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the BC Wildlife Federation.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the BC Wildlife Federation or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  5. 5. Privacy

    BC Wildlife Federation does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  6. 6. Complaints

    Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: giving@bcwf.bc.ca. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  7. 7. Delay in Draw

    Should a delay occur in the draw time on draw day, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible. Should an alternate day need to be announced, after approval by BC Gaming, all ticket purchasers will be notified via email.

  8. 8. Other

    Please email our team at giving@bcwf.bc.ca should you require a refund for any ticket purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.

Cause

The BC Wildlife Federation is the largest and oldest conservation organization in British Columbia. The BCWF Vision is “Leading the conservation and wise use of British Columbia’s fish, wildlife and habitat.” Our Mission is: “To protect, enhance and promote the wise use of the environment for the benefit of present and future generations.” To carry-out our mission and vision we value stewardship, education, science and partnerships. The proceeds from the 2023 50/50 50/50 will be distributed between the following projects:

  • 1. Controlled burns in the dry interior. We are jointly working with First Nations, the province of British Columbia, the government of Canada and British Columbia to return controlled burns to the land combining Indigenous knowledge and western science.
  • 2. Southern Interior Mule Deer Project and Chronic Wasting Disease Initiative in BC deer, moose and elk.
  • 3. Wetlands and fish and habitat restoration. The funding will support wetlands and fish habitat education and restoration with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
  • 4. Fishing Forever. In this program participants of all ages, abilities and mobility challenges can learn to fish and enjoy the outdoors.
  • 5. Youth education. The National Archery in Schools program, Go Wild! and Wild Kidz camps include education and conservation training for the next generation of British Columbians.
